Introduction to Cameras
If you describe a digital camera in its simplest terms it is a box with a lens, viewfinder, shutter, aperture and a place to hold the digital sensor. All cameras, no matter how basic or sophisticated, follow this simple design. The photographer frames the image using the viewfinder. When the composition is judged to be 'just right', then the shutter is released by pressing a button. Light passes through the lens and the aperture and is focused onto the sensor.
